We carry two different styles of rovings for hand-spinners.

First, we have a nice selection of hand-painted/hand-dyed wool and wool-blend rovings. These are all available in 4-ounce braids and often feature rovings from small wool farms, such as Finn or Targhee, as well as a few commercial preparations, such as merino and corriedale. We are also pleased to carry several luxury blends, combing wool with other fibers such as angora bunny, silk, or alpaca. All of these fibers may be dyed in any of our colorways.

Secondly, we also offer very limited, one-of-a-kind rovings which are blended and carded to our specifications by Stonehedge Fiber Mill. These feature natural-colored alpaca or wool, plus hand-dyed silk, bamboo, soy or milk protein fiber, silk noil and/or angelina. All of these are small runs, usually under 5 pounds, and cannot be duplicated. Once they are gone, they are gone, so be sure to purchase enough for your project!

Laceweight Yarns:

Atropos: 80% baby alpaca and 20% silk. Each skein contains 1200 yards.
Clotho: 80% merino and 20% bamboo. Each skein contains 1200 yards.
Lachesis: 70% baby alpaca, 20% silk and 10% cashmere. Each skein contains 1200 yards.

Fingering/Sock-weight Yarns:

Aerten: 80% superwash merino, 10% nylon and 10% cashmere. Each skein contains 425 yards.
Blodendd: 80% merino and 20% bamboo. Each skein contains 425 yards.
Ceridwen: 100% superwash merino. Each skein contains 425 yards.
Rhiannon: 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon. Each skein contains 425 yards.
