Each of these gradient yarn cakes contains 435 yards/100 g of the Arianrhod Sock base, a 75/20/5 blend of superwash merino wool, silk and glitter.  They are dyed in long runs of color from one end of the skein to the other.  These are a fun way to let the yarn do the work - and they work beautifully for a shawl, cowl or even as the yoke or bottom edge of an otherwise plain sweater.  Work from the inside end or outside end - both will yield you a subtle color shift from start to finish.
