Wooly Wonka Fibers

Happy Fall! This summer has been a whirlwind of travel and I know I missed August, but hopefully this will get us all caught up for a while. While the temperatures are still warm, I'm eagerly anticipating the chill of fall and getting started on my fall and winter knitting!

New Pattern Releases

If you're looking for a lacy cardigan to add to your late summer/early fall wardrobe, I've got a great new pattern release for you - Lughnasadh Cardigan. Available on Ravelry as a PDF download here, this cropped lace cardigan was named for the Celtic festival of Lughnassadh, celebrating the height of summer, a gathering of the grain harvest and the magic of long, warm, sunny days.

Back Detail.jpg

Knit with Rauma 2-ply Gammelserie (a light fingering-weight wool), and worked seamlessly from the bottom up, this cardigan will be the perfect thing to stave off the fall chill! The lace pattern features stylized haystacks and sunflowers in vertical rows which look lovely in a full range of sizes. The sample is shown here in Mustard Yellow.

* If you purchased this pattern in hard copy prior to August 23, please contact us so we can make errata available to you. The PDF pattern has been updated as well!

If shawls are your favorite items to knit, I also have a new shawl pattern for you! The Willow Shawl, available on Ravelry as a PDF download here, is a semi-circular shawl designed with 3 lace pattern bands, and increases in between. The shawl was inspired by the willow tree and its gentle, drooping stems and leaves as depicted in willow catkins and leaf lace.

The Willow Shawl is worked in Nimue Sock in the color Winterfell, or could be worked in 800 yards of any laceweight yarn that has a nice drape.
