Save the Date - Stitches Midwest and Stitches SoCal

Wooly Wonka Fibers

Stitches SoCal.png

I'm excited to announce that I will be attending the next two Stitches Events!

I will be vending in/sharing booth space with The Yarn Guys at Stitches Midwest from August 2-5, in Schaumberg, IL.

I will also be attending the new Stitches SoCal, November 1-4, 2018, and I will be teaching two classes at this event.  You can find information on these classes at my Class Listings on the Stitches Events site.  I'll be teaching a very fun Color Theory class (great for crafters of all types), as well as an Inspired Fair Isle class that will walk you through the steps to create your own Fair Isle projects from yarn choice, to color choices and motif placement.  If you sign up before August 15, 2018, you'll receive an early bird discount as well.

I hope to see some of you there - Stitches events are always great fun and I'm sure this new venue will be wonderful as well!

New Pattern Release: Aspen Cowlette

Wooly Wonka Fibers

Just released to start June off on a bright note is the Aspen Cowlette.

Hero Resized.jpg

This hybrid cowl and small shawl/shrug is worked with one skein of Nimue Sock (sample is shown here in the Dryad colorway).  It's cast on at the neckline and the first half is worked back and forth and shaped like a shawl.  Stitches are then joined in the round for the larger leaf-motif lace border, which is worked to the bottom hem like a cowl.

It can be worn loosely around the neck, like a cowl, or pulled down over the shoulders like a shawl/shrug.

Pattern is available via PDF download on Ravelry here.

New DK-Weight Yarn Base - Atina DK

Wooly Wonka Fibers

I'm excited to announce a brand-new DK-weight yarn base - Atina DK.  This is a yummy blend of bouncy, squishy Polwarth wool and silk (85/15 blend).   Each 150 g skein has 350 yards, and the solid twist makes this a great yarn base for cables, lace or just plain garter or stockinette.  Priced at $35.00 per skein, it is a great value for a silk-blend yarn.

It's making its debut in Kathleen Dames's Etoile Cardigan in the newest issue of Filament magazine (Spring 2018).  Shown here in Hidcote, a soft grayed lavender color, and available in any colorway of your choosing.

I'll be vending at Interweave's Yarn Fest in Loveland, Colorado, again this year.  Show dates are April 12-14, 2018.  You can find me in booth 602 this year, just inside the doors on the left-hand side of the exhibitors hall. I'll have lots of sock yarns, some sweater-sized lots of DK, lots of patterns, fiber and some new color packs too!  Please stop by and say hello if you are attending.

(PS - I'll also be doing a book signing of my book, Free Spirit Knits, on Friday at 4:00 pm in my booth!)

Welcome!

Wooly Wonka Fibers

Welcome to the Wooly Wonka Fibers online shop!  Please excuse the dust while I do a bit of remodeling this spring.  I've been looking for a slightly more robust platform that would let me include blog posts and a bit more ease of navigation for your shopping experience.

Quarter 2 Handspinner/Fiber Club slots are now open - the next 3 months promise some fun colorways themed around birds and their gorgeous plumage.

The Wooly Wonkapalooza is also in full swing.  You can find more details about this fun craft-along in my Ravelry group here.  Please feel free to come and join us!

As always, if you have any questions or need other assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me.
